Lustreware is a form of decoration, found on a wide variety of forms, on porcelain and earthenware. This website curently focuses on British lustreware jugs, from the early and mid 19th century.

This website, very much a work in progress, highlights different decoration, handle, spouts, and soon, bodies. We hope it will help identify regional differences, and perhaps even individual makers. Currently the pieces are all part of the Freeman-Heath collection. Our goal is to include other pieces and eventually provide links to 'open' museum websites to see their related collections.
